Chiropractic & Sports Care · Monrovia, CA
Dr. Sarah Jimenez pairs chiropractic care with movement-based therapy so athletes and active families across the San Gabriel Valley can recover well and keep moving.
About
Dr. Sarah Jimenez is a first-generation chiropractor and second-generation Latina, born and raised in East Los Angeles. She built Movida around a simple belief: movement is medicine, and health is earned through consistency, education, and intentional care.
Her path started with a love of medicine and sport — a B.S. in Kinesiology from CSU Northridge, followed by a Doctor of Chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences. Over more than ten years in manual therapy and eight-plus years as a high school athletic trainer, she has worked with student-athletes at Bishop Mora Salesian and Don Bosco Technical Institute, and with athletes throughout the San Gabriel Valley.
Family-oriented and faith-driven, she treats every patient as a partner — educating and empowering them to take an active role in their own recovery. That focus on sports medicine and patient-centered care shapes everything at Movida: movement, recovery, and long-term wellness.
On the sideline
More than eight years as a high school athletic trainer means injuries get assessed, managed, and rehabbed by someone who has done it on the field — not just in the clinic.
Health is earned through consistency, education, and intentional care.

Nutrition Partner
Adjustments and movement work address how your body loads and moves. Nutrition addresses what it's built from. Where it fits your goals, Dr. Jimenez folds whole-food nutritional support into your care plan — not as a separate sale.
Authorized practitioner
Our nutrition partnership
Standard Process isn't sold in stores. Since 1929 this family-owned Wisconsin company has made whole-food nutritional supplements available only through licensed health care practitioners — and most of their raw materials are grown on their own USDA-certified organic farm in Palmyra, Wisconsin. Being a partner practice means Dr. Jimenez can recommend specific formulas for your plan and give you direct ordering access, so what you take is chosen for you rather than picked off a shelf.
